Technically, this should count as the entry for the 12th. But I was really tired yesterday… so tired that I simply left my phone off for the entire flight.

Yesterday morning began with dragging myself out of bed and racing for the train. Once in Shenzhen, I had lunch at Mr. Zhang Jing’s place and gave my talk. Then it was off to the airport in the afternoon to meet the “Shenzhen squad.” Nine p.m.—takeoff!

Today, at last, we made it to Kuala Lumpur. Immigration held us up for a bit: the officer said a tourist visa required a return ticket, while we explained that the school would be arranging student visas for us right away. In the end, the professionals in the “little black room” sorted everything out. Thank the Lord.

We’re on our way to the dorm now. Looking forward to whatever tomorrow brings!
