Then let it go! Having just finished writing “Boring Note,” I feel incredibly powerful! What’s homework? Not writing it!

(Checking the schedule… Hmm, I’ll just write for 4 or 5 minutes.)

I finally understood one thing: why sometimes, even when I have something to write, I can never bring myself to pick up a pen. It turns out it’s because there are more convenient ways to consume time.

Often, with a phone, an hour, what I intended to write will slowly be blown away by the wind on the sand, never to be seen again.

But now it’s different. My phone was taken away I need to focus on studying. And at this time, my inner voice tells me I shouldn’t watch videos and slack off anymore. So, after much deliberation, I picked up my pen.

After Apple updated the Notes app, I can finally list all previous content with titles and archive them (then fold them up and watch the computer visibly slow down). Now, I’m looking at a series of arithmetic progressions extending downwards, writing this paragraph. I want to tell my future self who will see this:

No matter what, don’t give up on documenting your life. Even if you steal a moment from your busy schedule, you should pick up your pen to record, to release, to create.

5 minutes are up.
