Sidebar: It just so happens that by yesterday, “Sojourner’s Diary” had exactly 26 entries, which can be extracted using a1z26… (The mysterious obsession with 26 for decryption enthusiasts)
Today I tidied up the accumulated items here in Chengde, finding a pile of clothes and shoes. Now I can wear something different every day! Although I’ve never been keen on new clothes, in winter I always switch to my classic blue skin (but I really love that one, come on).
Compared to my usual late nights and late mornings, my grandpa’s ability to go to bed promptly at 5 AM impresses me. This means that if we go for a walk in the evening, there will definitely be three of us. Along the way, I kept nagging about wanting to play on the ice, but it never happened. I really hope for a heavy snowfall! The path along the river always reminds me of last year’s experiences, and then I realize this diary has been going for a year now (yet it’s still less than 30 entries, I guess I really can procrastinate).
All in all (what an abrupt transition), I really should help my grandparents more with chores; and also learn a few tricks from them, striving to become a royal chef when I go abroad (chuckle).
