Today is a day filled with grace!

Got up early and ran nine kilometers, somehow getting faster as I went. Beijing winters really are cold…

Paid a visit to the National Library and got a library card. The place was packed: even in a building that enormous, finding any seat was hard, never mind one beside an outlet. Tomorrow I plan to arrive early and stake one out.

In the evening, with the help of a friend, I completed the math competition, and then hurriedly left (so grateful to my friend for helping me call a cab). On the way, we passed a toll station, and looking out the car window, I saw the big characters reading “North China Electric Power University.” Hmm, feels a bit familiar.

The lecture tonight turned out to be quite eye-opening and challenged many of my preconceptions. Indeed, listening to a professional PhD discuss these topics is entirely different! Of course, him speaking also as a brother brought me many new insights. Maybe biology is actually quite fascinating? (If you are curious, feel free to ask me for my notes, I won’t post them here).

On the way home, I had a chat with the class monitor and discovered we are both Tokusatsu fans! After wandering through so many places, I’ve finally found a fellow fan in Beijing (so touching). Regarding the skeptical question of “how old are you to still be watching this kind of stuff?”, we both strongly agreed that “the love for Tokusatsu knows no age limit!”

Well, as for why this post is published so late, it’s because we only had dinner after everything finished, hahaha… I should stop writing now or it will be tomorrow, so let’s end this daily log here!
