Today I received an offer from LeTourneau. (At last, no more relatives asking, “Everyone else has an offer—where’s yours?”) Before it was even warm in my hands—can an electronic file get warm?—I followed a classmate to a library farther away for the great battle of… claiming a seat!

If you want to study in a library, seat-snagging is an essential experience. In front of the library doors before they open at 9 AM, there will inevitably be a long line of people waiting, followed by the “leading the charge, fearless of blocking blades and spears” rushing phase. For latecomers like us, we could only pray that someone happened to leave their seat due to some business; otherwise, we’d be reduced to NPC characters randomly spawning next to suspicious-looking empty seats (sad).

I made an agreement on the time with my classmate. He took the subway while I cycled there, and the subway won by a narrow margin (which convinced me to take the subway on my way back). While I was quietly proud of snagging a regular seat, my classmate had already taken a supreme VIP seat—one with a power outlet. Watching my Mac’s battery drop to 20%, I eventually had to carry a chair up from the 2nd floor to the 4th floor to share the outlet with him.

The great advantage of studying in a library is the powerful academic atmosphere. (Glances at the person gaming beside me.) …Probably? Sigh. What really matters is self-control.

Speaking of time management, when our small group asked about prayer requests tonight, I realized we are all facing the same challenge. A friend gave us some advice, which I found extremely practical: record what you do every hour, and check what you’ve actually accomplished after two weeks. I added a evaluation standard of my own on top of this: whatever activities you would feel bold enough to share directly with your mentors are the reasonable ones (though not necessarily essential).

So, what did I do today? Well… I made some .lrc lyric files that I hadn’t had time to do since finishing my exams, and happened to receive some likes from “archeological” diggers in the comment section; I assembled the purchased bunk bed, so I finally don’t have to sleep on the floor anymore (though the wooden boards make some terrifying creaking sounds); and of course, I spent most of the time brushing up on biology, hoping tomorrow’s homework check won’t be too difficult for me.
